Just a few updates from our Monthly meeting that I'm to share with you.

Safety tip from our Dallas Police Officer Gabriel - This is holiday time "PLEASE", watch your surroundings
LOCK your car, TAKE your keys, HIDE your belongings, at all times!

CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK -KIEST PARK DEC. 14 from 4:00-8:00. Holiday festival
and (tree lighting @ 5:30) lots of entertainment for the whole family. Food, Fun, plan to
join in.

We are trying to locate our GOHA Monthly Meeting SIGNS if you have one or know someone who

no questions asked. They will be posted in the community as reminders of our Meetings.

Glen Oaks Officers election will be held in our December meeting. If you desire to hold an office

vote during this election. Dues are $20.00 a year per household they are being accepted for

Here are the updates from Tues evening Glen Oaks Homeowners Meeting. 
Information that you need to know!
From Dallas Police Department updates
1. FosusConnect program is a partnership directly with the Dallas Police Department. The program enables you to share live video feeds with law enforcement in emergencies to improve community safety and situational awareness for the Dallas Police Dept. for information call Jacob Nissen 770-574-4623 to register your Ring doorbell.
2. Continue to LOCK (your car) TAKE (your keys) HIDE (your belongings) don’t make it easy for the criminals.
3. Dallas Police Dept presents ROBBERY PREVENTION TRAINING 2nd Tues of every month 10:00am-11:30am held at South Central Station 1999 E. Camp Wisdom Rd Dallas information contact Officer DARAMOLA #11898 at 214-671-4590 (valid ID is required to attend class.)
4. Noise Ordinances – Loud and disturbing Noises and vibrations. Call to make a report they do come out 1st time a warning is given 2nd call a citation will be given.

Code Enforcement
53 Violations with Bulky Trash still the TOP, litter on private property and 
Vegetation obstruction. Watch your water bill for the time to put out your Bulky Trash you will get a TICKET!!!

Charter Commissioner
Update on  "NEW"-Woody Branch Park - Community Park 1st planning meeting will be held Sat Oct 26 from 11-1. This is the community off Hwy 35 on the service road (Behind Walmart area). Watch for the street as it only has two entrances in this area! You are welcome  & needed come by get information and voice your concerns.

Conservation Committee
Needing our support to help keep our neighborhood protected. This is an established neighborhood with single family homes and we don’t want to see changes with 2-3 story multi family homes next door. Volunteer to help protect our neighborhood contact Mr. Lewis at 214-803-9826 to support this project. 

Sidewalk repair
If your side walk needs repairing/replaced call 311 get service request number then call Ms. Arnold Office to make that request ASAP, and if you had problems with the construction work report that as well. 

COPPER THEFT 
​IS STILL AN ISSUE ALL OVER DALLAS If you see someone stealing wire, get as much information as you can safely, and call 911 to report. DO NOT Confront them!!!
Illegal building being built call to report immediately.

Lastly 
Vote ~ final election day is Nov 5 (which is also our meeting night, it will be held later during the Month)

Saturday Nov, 9 Dist 4 Community Veterans Day Parade on Lancaster Rd from 10:00-1:00

Dec is GOHA Officer Election month if you wish to run for an office please contact Faye Collins asap

Dec 14 from 4-8:00 pm is Christmas in the Park at "KIEST PARK" HOLIDAY Festival and Tree Lighting
(tree lighting@ 5:30) lots of entertainment, Food & Fun for the whole family. Join Councilwoman Arnold & other City officials for a fun evening in the Park.
